B.Participation at four UN World Conferences on Women (0-4): The UN has hosted four World Conferences on Women, starting with the first in Mexico City in 1975 and most recently in Beijing in 1995. Countries were assigned 0 points if they failed to attend the conferences and 1 point for each they attended for a maximum of 4 points. C.Report submission status with the Committee of CEDAW (0-4 points): Countries were assigned 0 points if they submitted no reports, 1 point if all reports were submitted late, 2 points if most reports were submitted late, 3 points if most reports were submitted on time, and 4 points if all reports were submitted on time.

Look for Appendix II on page 133. 2.First record the amount duration of maternity leave (in weeks) on the third column. Match this to the appropriate number of points found in the relevant scoring table. 3.Then look at Pay of Maternity Leave (Amount of Maternity Leave Cash Benefits) on column four. For this piece of information we are only concerned with the percentages and not the duration of these, i.e. if it says 100% for 8 weeks, we just look at the 100% 4.Add the top and bottom tables to create a score for your country.

Government officials have made statements using misogynistic or homophobic rhetoric. 0 No major changes in country in past year. +1 Well-known public figures have made statements in support of gender equity and women’s right.
