Entrepreneurs that obtained permit may run business activities without being subject to full payment of income tax. New building of Intel in Gdansk FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES CREATED IN POMERANIA There is an Intel R&D centre in Gdansk, which is the largest in Europe and second globally, employing more than 1200 people. Most of staff comes from Gdansk University of Technology and works on technologies that will be available on the market in 4 to 5 years. Intel has no problems attracting employees. When building HR support team with Hebrew people migrated from Torun (the only city with Hebrew linguistic faculty in country). Solutions for aviation Both centers have been successfuly developing advanced cartographic solutions for both Lufthansa and Boeing using experience and talent of Pomeranian software developers, engineers, pilots and metheorologists. Both centers observe steady growth employing houndreds of people. Around 40% of Jeppesens’ staff comes outside of Tricity. Employees come both from neighbouring regions, and farthest places of Poland. Employees from Rzeszów (city in South-East of Poland) comprise 10% of staff.
