6 Design of NU University 1.To contribute to the production of knowledge relevant to the betterment of living conditions in BRICS countries 2.To design new competencies (general and professional) fro professionals in BRICs countries 3.Open architecture of programs (All BRICS Studies Universities members become Board members for the program, the program may start with 2 universities, other universities may join in forms and ways the Board decides) 4.Programs should be in English 5.Interdisciplinary research areas and educational programs 6.Universities should suggests only innovative and outstanding courses 7.Integrating methods and disciplines from humanities and social sciences and science and IT 8.Online Courses and e-learning technology 9.Mandatory in-country stay for students and academics (distinguishing feature of BRICS studies) 10.Erasmus Mobility Scheme (each university offers parts of the program) 11.To work towards mutual recognition of the programs and accreditation of the QAA etc.

7 Action plan for ITG Short-term until September 2016: 1. Come up with the proposal for programs within the BRICS Studies framework (Learning outcomes for the program) 2. Exchange suggestion about forthcoming summer schools and short term courses 3. Exchange research profiles of researchers in three priority fields of BRICS Studies 4. Set up a website forum for discussion of matters of the BRICS Studies ITG Medium-term until 2017-2018: Exchange opportunities for publications To be decided after the meeting in September
