3 Paediatric Nursing Caring for babies, children and adolescents in hospital, clinics and the community Completed stage 5 placement on the ward, enjoyed it more than I thought Different style of nursing, whole family involved in the care, not just the patient Try and make it a positive experience for the child as it may be their first hospital admission Qualifications; require bachelor of science (Nursing), RN,EN previous experience preferred, paediatric certificate in Nursing Salary; Base Rate level 1 RN $56,834-$57,597 Always a need for Paediatric Nursing, not just Australia but world wide Strengths for a Paediatric Nurse; confident, approachable, able to communicate well with children and adults, teamwork, leadership values and a positive, enthusiastic personality

6 Personal Development Goals Complete a graduate program at Bunbury Regional Hospital in 2016 Attend as many education sessions and staff development courses possible during my post grad program to expand my knowledge and skills Apply to work on the Paediatrics Ward in the Bunbury Regional Hospital following my post grad Complete 12 months on the Paediatrics Ward and becoming competent in Paediatric Nursing and specialised clinical skills After 2 years I aim to become competent working as the shift co-ordinator on the Paediatrics Ward, delegating and co-ordinating patients and staff
