5 The RCN Leadership Traveling Plate Awards Each plate was painted by a Michigan artist with ASD and plates were awarded to RCNs at Spring Leadership – Office will forward info about artist and inspiration to RCN – Please send out Thank You Each RCN Member nominates a person who has gone above and beyond for the award and presents at the September and January RCN Meetings. Nominated person keeps plate until next nomination Take pictures of person with plate & send to START Have nominated person sign and date back of plate for record of who has received it Nominated persons may be showcased on social media and/or in START Connecting Newsletter

32 RCN P2P TA / Coaching Can use up to $5000 per RCN to support regional P2P TA / Coaching Example: CRAN Pilot – 1 ISD Cash Match of $5000 = total $10,000 – Offset staff for ½ day per week for P2P TA / coaching Example: – 5 ISDs RCN – Cash match for each ISD of $1000 = total $10,000 – Approx ¼ day every other week per ISD

34 USAPT A couple of ways you can use the tool: 1.Complete the USAPT online. The building coach will start the process by registering as a user and then complete the USAPT to get the assessment process going. The building coach will then invite team members to complete the USAPT online. 2. Complete the USAPT as a team offline, then enter the data online and view the graphed results. Either way, the team should come to consensus before finalizing the results. The team can then identify areas of strengths and areas for improvement and set priorities.

36 Regional Collaborative Networks Connecting with MAF Parent Mentors 1.RCN representatives can serve as a contact about resources and info in schools 2.MAF Parent Mentor can attend RCN meetings to learn about RCN priority activities for the year and share what is happening with MAF and families in the local area 3.Develop a plan focused on critical issues in the local area and discuss ways to work together (e.g. behavior support in schools) 4.Attend trainings offered by RCN and invite RCN to attend MAF trainings 5.Attend RCN planning meetings around April-June to plan for next school year (RCN application to START) 6.START Intensive Training - Parent Liaison attend trainings and connect with families
