1 Hudson International - Regional Operations Director Purpose Reporting directly to the Regions COO and supporting the Hudson International Area Director, with responsibility for delivering the expansion plan and leading the Hudson International General Managers within a Region in executing all strategic and business planning initiatives as well as managing the day-to-day functions of a large group of retail stores In addition, is responsible for promoting the Hudson Brand image of excellence through a strong work ethic, leadership by example, and the consistent delivery of excellent customer service and store presentation standards throughout the Region. Key Accountabilities  Provides leadership, training, development and support to the Hudson General Managers and key Operations personnel / functions of a large group of retail stores within a geographic Region.  P & L and Sales Margin responsibility including sales targets, expense, and payroll trends in their market. Initiates timely remedial action plans as required.  Accountable for ensuring expansion plan deliverables, including targets and identifying growth opportunities within the Region  Ensures each operations financial objectives and profit margins are maintained.  Submits annual budget recommendations and approves salary rate recommendations  Audits and ensures compliance of all company policies and procedures.  In coordination with Hudson General Managers, designs and implements supplementary training programs, as required, in all aspects of selling, merchandising, customer service, systems & procedures.  Works in conjunction with The Hudson International Area Director on New Opening Procedures and assists in the organization of the agenda and check list.  Maintains regular communication and reporting of regions activity with the Regions COO and Hudson International Area Director.  Conducts periodic administrative audits in each branch to manage and control shrinkage levels, corporate paperwork flow, and other security issues.  Provides visual presentation direction to Hudson General Managers to ensure a strong and consistent corporate image. Manages in coordination with the Hudson Merchandising department standards of product placement, display, and space allocation conducive to maximizing sale levels.  Audits promotional income programs with Hudson Managers to ensure strict compliance of local and global promotional programs. Identifies, exploits, and maximizes “Other Income” opportunities as appropriate.  Directs Brand Managers to ensure proper inventory controls are in place, with appropriate stock turns for each product category.  Maintains awareness of general market place merchandise trends and of the competition.  Develop and maintain positive landlord relationships.  Represents the Hudson Brand at industry trade shows and publishing industry events  Actively seeks out opportunities for enhancing Hudson’s local feel without compromising brand integrity  Works closely with Human Resources in the recruitment of qualified personnel. Scope Hudson International Division International Team Experience Required Essential: Secondary School Graduate or equivalent, 3 to 5 years of Multi-store retail management (i.e. Drugstore, grocery store, convenience store, newsstand, or fast food) Desirable: Associates degree or above, Languages used in the Region operating in Hudson Int.
