George Washington First U.S President. At six feet, two inches tall, and 200 pounds, he was one of our biggest presidents. Was born in Westmoreland County, Va., on Feb. 22, 1732.

John Adams Second president of the U.S. A Harvard-educated lawyer. Born on October 30, 1735 in Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts.

Thomas Jefferson Jefferson was born at Shadwell in what is now Albemarle County, Va., on Apr. 13, 1743. Jefferson had six children, two of whom survived into adulthood. In the final 17 years of his life, Jefferson's major accomplishment was the founding (1819) of the University of Virginia at Charlottesville.

5 James Monroe Born in Westmoreland County, Virginia, in 1758.
Attended the College of William and Mary. He fought with George Washington at Valley Forge and in 1779.

6 Abraham Lincoln Lincoln was born on Feb. 12, 1809, in a log cabin in Hardin (now Larue) County, Ky. 16th president of the United States. Guided the U.S. through the most devastating experience in its national history--the CIVIL WAR.
