10 My 60 Second Commercial My name is Christopher Sullivan and I am applying for the business education opening at Holmen High School. I earned my bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. After graduation, I accepted a job offer at Edward Jones Investments where I refined my communication and relationship-building skills, as well as my problem solving and time management abilities. While I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences there, and the relationships I built with my clients, their families, and my colleagues, an opportunity arose to work at a Sport’s Agency for a growing company in Las Vegas. Therefore, I accepted a position as an Account Executive with Poker Royalty in 2007. In my time there, I am proud of my accomplishments of signing endorsement deals for professional poker players and MMA Fighters. I believe the real world business experience I have gained over the past few years will prove to be invaluable as I enter the classroom. Although I know from student, parent, and administrator feedback that I possess the energy and enthusiasm to be a successful and life-long educator for many districts, I believe now is the right time that I seek employment in a district whose vision closely matches my own.
