Interest of students in classes to have a practical goal for their coursework supported by LANL Responsibility and technical complexity in regard to the Web skills needed by employees Outlined criteria in order to achieve a level of competence working on Web sites at LANL Need to develop a series of Web skills courses for LANL employees to increase their Web skills

Consists of three tracks Track 1 – Web Site Architect Encompasses planning, HTML code, Web editors, graphics, animation Basic principles of design and function at LANL Track 2 – Dynamic Web Site Architect Practical experience with server interactions, formal design and documentation Effective database integration into Web Sites at the Laboratory Track 3 – Web Site System Administrator Advanced technical experience with complex server interactions Multiple language development with a variety of Web tools Experience developing within complex infrastructures at LANL
