5 Schedule Verification Schedule verification will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, August 6 th. You will receive your schedule verification form during 1 st period and show it to your teachers throughout the day and turn it in to your 6 th period teacher. Follow your current schedule.

6 Schedule Verification You have verified your schedule twice in the spring so there are only three reasons for a class change: ◦ You have already taken and passed the class ◦ You did not pass the prerequisite ◦ You are a senior and need the class to graduate If you are interested in moving up a level, we will try to accommodate your request We will be working on Seniors first and will get all changes done ASAP.

7 Getting to and from school? Busses are out front in the same order every day. No clustering in the bus lane or in the hallways…go ahead and get on the bus! Busses will leave at 2:16pm…make sure you don’t miss it! Maxwell bus leaves at 7:05am Parking: ◦ Maxwell/Grayson program, Work study, Marketing, Apprenticeship students and Seniors will be given priority to purchase parking permits. ◦ The parking fee is $70.00 per year. ◦ Make sure that you follow the correct traffic flow and traffic laws so that your parking pass does not get revoked! ◦ Students must remain in good standing (No OSS Discipline) and not have excessive tardiness (five (5) or more) to retain parking for the semester and year.

9 Lunch Etiquette Make sure that you clean up around you and don’t leave any trash. No breaking in line! No charges are allowed on your account…Make sure that you have funds on your MPP account in order to purchase lunch. Lunches will be long on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. This time will be a great opportunity to study and work on projects.

11 Office Locations ◦ Student Services/Attendance office – Located off of Longhorn Boulevard ◦ 9 th grade Student Services – Ms. Burrell in the front office ◦ 10 th and 11 th grade Student Services—Mr. Grant on the 200 Hall ◦ 12 th grade Student Services—Mrs. Seay in the front office ◦ Community School—Mrs. Childs in Commons Areas office ◦ Athletics clerk—Mrs. Marvel, off Longhorn Blvd. ◦ Clinic—Mrs. Ojeda, off Longhorn Blvd.

12 Lockers Lockers will be handed out during Advisement on Friday, August 8. In order to purchase a locker, students need to pay on MyPaymentsPlus.com Lockers are $3.

13 Tardy System Students will report to the Attendance Office or Ms. Menchaca’s Office on the 3 rd floor to get a pass when they are late to class. Teachers will be locking and closing their doors when the bell rings so make sure that you get to class on time…putting your stuff down on the desk does NOT count as being on time! Tardies will be tracked and consequences will be assigned automatically. We will start the new system on Monday 8/11…so get used to being on time for class!

14 Check In and Out When checking in or out, you will go to the Attendance Office off of Longhorn Blvd. All visitors must check in at the lobby desk and will wait in the main lobby by the Media Center. Once you check out you will be able to meet your parents there.
