Slide 2: Using the Grade Level Expectations Serve as a basis for curriculum development Not intended to limit learning “Districts, schools, teachers, and students are encouraged to extend the content and achievement expected as they feel it is appropriate.” Any program being used can be modified to meet the necessary benchmarks; all must be met by grade 5 for elementary students

5. Slide 4: Numbering System for GLEs For easy reference, each Grade Level Expectation has been assigned a unique identification code. The numbering system used builds upon the already existing numbering system for the strands, standards, and benchmarks that make up the Sunshine State Standards. See sample!
