1 HENLEY AIR A brief guide to using the Weight & Balance data sheets For any assistance, please contact: Marc de Fontaine marcdef@randwater.co.za Weight & Balance Sheets are aircraft specific and will be updated from time to time as and when new weight information is available. The most recent file will always be available on the Henley Air website. Please note that the Bell 206B ZS-HUC has not been included yet but will be updated shortly. Aircraft types included in the Weight & Balance Sheets are: R22 Beta and R22 Beta II; R44 Raven II; and Bell 206B JetRanger.

3 HENLEY AIR A brief guide to using the Weight & Balance data sheets For any assistance, please contact: Marc de Fontaine marcdef@randwater.co.za Weight balance is given as either (+)ve of (-)ve indicating if the aircraft is under or over the MAUW limit based on fuel and passenger loads. This allows for pilots to try out various scenarios relating to fuel load and passenger weight.

4 HENLEY AIR A brief guide to using the Weight & Balance data sheets For any assistance, please contact: Marc de Fontaine marcdef@randwater.co.za This is the Data Entry part of the Weight & Balance Sheets and is the only section that is completed manually. For fuel weight complete the green box. This will automatically update the green box in the Data Box section. Note that the fuel calculation also provides for an assessment of “½ and ½” or “full and ¾” by giving a percentage readout in the % Full column. For passenger and load weight complete the yellow box. This will automatically update the yellow box in the Data Box section. Note that weights must be entered in kilograms (kg) and will be converted to pounds (lbs) for use in the Data Box section.

Note that the plotted points are colour coded with the Blue and Red lines of the Data Box section.

This provides a safety check for Flight Following should an incident occur. For more information regarding Flight Following, please refer to the Henley Air Flying Club Minutes of 3 February 2005 (Section 6.4.1).

7 HENLEY AIR A brief guide to using the Weight & Balance data sheets For any assistance, please contact: Marc de Fontaine marcdef@randwater.co.za In order for Weight & Balance Sheets to be a legal compliance document for Henley Air, all sections must be signed by the relevant authority prior to any Hire-&-Fly operation being undertaken. For more information regarding Flight Following, please refer to the Henley Air Flying Club Minutes of 3 February 2005 (Section 6.4.1).

To print out the form, select Print from the File Menu in Excel and the correctly formatted Weight & Balance Sheet will be printed.
