8 Communities are impacted – They are built out….! Companies want to grow in the region but how and where can they expand? How promote job growth when no one can get there? What are some of the Challenges?

9 CHALLENGES FOR COMMUNITIES Communities finding it difficult to keep up: –Housing and affordability - Longer commutes –Education - K-12; Higher education –Transportation – Trips continue to increase; few solutions –Impact on Infrastructures – sewer /water/energy/communications –Open Space – Preserve and increase –Sea Level Rise – Region wide issue –Environmental –Quality of Life Result of this trend - Growing “tension” between community, companies and developers – How do we address?
