1. The Beginning The Quest Resolution

2. In the beginning of the story, we meet 12 year old Percy Jackson, who attends a school in upstate New York called Yancy Academy. We find out that he has dyslexia and ADHD, and that he has a crippled friend named Grover who attends the same school. Percy has trouble in school and has switched schools more than 5 times, more times than not due to expulsion. He takes a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum, and while expecting for it to just be another lame field trip like all of the others at Yancy, he gets attacked by who/what he thought was his math teacher. She turned out to be a fury. After that, he travels to camp half-blood and realizes that he is a Demi-god and the son of Poseidon. Due to a war among Poseidon and Zeus is presented, Percy must go on a quest to prove his innocence to Zeus, but really goes to rescue his mother from the Underworld. While at Camp Half-Blood, he meets a girl his age named Annabeth, daughter of Athena, Luke, son of Hermes, and Clarisse, daughter of Ares, who also turns out to be a bully. He is also introduced to the surprise that Chiron, his Latin teacher at Yancy, is a Centaur and that Grover is a Satyr. Back To Plot Back To Plot

3. After Percy figured out that he was the son of Poseidon he was offered the quest to find the stolen lightning bolt of Zeus. He accepted it and then set of to Los Angeles with his two friends Annabeth and Grover. Along the way they encountered monsters like Medusa, Chimera, Echidna, Ares, Cerberus, and Hades. They also traveled through cities such as Saint Louis, Denver, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Once they arrived in Los Angeles they found D.O.A. Recording Studios and entered. D.O.A was the place were the Underworld is in the mortal world. They then went down the elevator to the underworld and began their search. They then go to talk to Hades about giving Zeus back his lightning bolt when they find out he didn’t steal it. Then they leave the Underworld and are on the beach when Ares approaches them. Percy then makes a deal with Ares that if he wins a fight against him he gets the Helm of Darkness and the lightning bolt. If Ares wins he gets both. Percy then wins and set off to Mount Olympus with his friends. Back To Plot. Back To Plot

4. When Percy returns to Mount Olympus With Zeus's lightning bolt he finally gets to meet his father Poseidon. Poseidon tells him that his mother has returned and that he has a package at his house waiting for him. When he returns home his mother his waiting for him and is very exited to see him. At the door to his bedroom is the package for him that Poseidon was telling him about. Inside the package was medusas head. At this point Percy’s step father “Smelly Gabe” is rely getting on Percy and his moms last nerve so he has a plan to get rid of him once and for all. He wanted to turn him into stone but his mom doesn’t want to. Then he decides to go back to Camp Half-Blood. They were the first campers to come back alive. That night he got a letter from his mom saying that she was done sculpting and going to college for writing school. Soon after Percy goes to talk to Luke and finds out that he’s the one who stole the lightning bolt and helm. Then Luke puts a very poisonous scorpion on Percy to kill him and Luke gets away.
