2.  What you need ◦ 1 Decorated container (shoe box size) ◦ 6 Items/representative items to put into the box ◦ 1 short introduction (3 sentences) ◦ 1paragraph ½ page typed double space for each item. ◦ 1 short conclusion (3-4 sentences) ◦ Therefore this should be 3 pages total ◦ Out of 50 points ◦ 20-Time capsule ◦ 30- Paragraphs (5 per paragraph)

3.  Items that reflect things that were happening in the roaring 20s.  For Example: ◦ Radio ◦ TV ◦ Women’s Rights ◦ Travel ◦ Fascism ◦ Stock Market ◦ Prohibition ◦ Etc

4.  Items that aren’t appropriate or don’t really have anything to do with the roaring 20’s  For Example: ◦ Beer or any alcohol (a pretend one is ok) ◦ A TV unless it’s a gift for me. ◦ CD’s with a paragraph talking about how CD’s are kind of like radios because they play music. ◦ A book about the 20’s or history ◦ Anything living ◦ Etc

5.  You will then present your time capsule and explain why you chose the items in it as representing the roaring 20’s  Remember it is a time capsule not time machine. These aren’t items that you are planning on bringing to the future or anything. They represent the past so that future generations can look at them and say wow so these were important things from this time in history…interesting!
