3. What are we doing for the students? Revision sessions every Tuesday and Thursday lunch time Revision sessions in the school holidays Past papers provided and marked Use of revision starters Revision Tests “Walking talking mock”

4. What can you do to support your child? Help your child to manage their time Use Show My Homework (please!). Help them to meet deadlines such as handing in past papers and revising for tests. Ensure that they use their revision guides/discs and revision websites. (Unfortunately just owning them and keeping them on the shelf doesn’t work!) Sit down with them to work on their maths. Your mathematical ability is not important but your support is. Working together will really help.

5. How can you work on the maths together? Let’s read the question together Shall we highlight key information? What do you know? Do we need to use any formulae? Can we break it down into steps? Do we need to look up some information? Does our answer make sense?

6. 4 marks Talk about Maths at home. Show your child how a bill is calculated.

7. 4 marks Talk about Maths at home. Discuss ratio and proportion in contexts such as converting money, mixing paint or changing quantities in recipes

8. 5 marks Talk about Maths at home. Help students to break down a problem into steps. Help them to memorise formulae for the areas of rectangles, triangles and circles. Play the circle song on Youtube!
