8. Vacuole Storage unit for the cell. Animal cells have a few smaller vacuoles. In plant cells, there is one large Central Vacuole.

10. Golgi Bodies (Apparatus) Help to package proteins

12. Ribosomes Helps make proteins Found in the cytoplasm or attached to endoplasmic reticulum

13. Lysosome Animal cell - Contains enzymes used in digestion of food and waste If a lysosome were to burst it could destroy the cell

14. Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) Systems of membranes throughout the cytoplasm Connects the nuclear membrane to the cell membrane Passageway for materials moving through the cell

15. ER Rough ER: makes membranes and makes proteins such as antibodies ~Has ribosomes attached Smooth ER: Makes proteins ~ Has no ribosomes attached

16. Cell Wall Plants only Provides structure and shape to the cell

17. Chloroplast Contains chlorophyll that makes food for the plant cell
