5. Overview This project is a Rube-Goldberg device, a machine that performs a simple task in multiple steps. The device highlights the change from kinetic energy to potential energy back to kinetic energy in several steps utilizing the roll of a billiard ball through hills, springs, and loops and finally, ringing a bell at the end. We were given a budget of $25 for supplies and a few weeks to complete the device.

7. Each Step Step 1 – Ball released = PE to KE Step 2 – Ball falls on to track from other track = PE + KE to KE Step 3 – Ball hits spring = KE + PE to KE

8. Steps Step 4 – 8 ball collides with 2 ball = Collision Step 5 – 2 ball rolls down track and flips switch = PE to KE Step 6 – Switch turns on light = Magic of Electricity

9. Conclusion What we planned and what actually happened were completely different Balls are not all the same mass but we figured that at the beginning they were all the same mass Our project works ( Most of the time )
