2. + People in India wore mostly cotton clothing. Men and Women wore one very long piece of cloth called a sari for men and called a dhoti (for mean is usually white). Women would wrap it around themselves in different ways. Rich women would wear silk cloths.

3. + Indian clothes are still wore today. there are several different types of uniforms that can be seen through the extent of the country.

4. + India’s school clothing is similar to the U.S because in some places we have uniforms also.

5. + In India, brides wear red. Brides may also choose to wear saris in shades of pink or maroon.

9. + More Facts The “dot” or jewel that women wear is a cosmetic beauty mark. It also helps “concentration” The dot is called 'Kumkum' or 'Bindi', and when worn by men it is called 'Tilak' (mark). Usually Hindu women, priests, monks and worshippers wear it.
