Definition: An animal

Definition: the organism that a parasite lives in or on

4. parasite
Definition: The organism that lives in or on another organism and harms it.

5. Predator
Definition: The organism that does the killing in a predation interaction.

6. Prey
Definition: The organism that is killed and eaten in a predation interaction.

7. Predation
Definition: A relationship in which one organism kills another for food.

8. Parasitism
Definition:A relationship in which one organism lives in or on another animal and harms it!!

9. Mutualism
Definition: a relationship between two species (types of animal) in which both species benefit (get something).

10. Niche
Definition: The role of an organism in its habitat (its job).

11. Competition
Definition: The struggle between organisms to survive as they both use the same limited resources.

12. Natural Selection
Definition: The process by which characteristics that help an animal in its environment become more common.

13. Adaptation
Definition: a behavior or physical characteristic that allows an organism to successfully live in its environment.

14. Symbiosis
Definition: a close relationship between two species in which at least on of them benefits (gets something)

15. Commensalism
Definition: a relationship in which one organism benefits (gets something), but the other is not helped or harmed.
