4 CWA Rubric & Scoring (at your table) Step 1: Examine rubric and discuss its use of claims, evidence, and reasoning Step 2: Read student sample 1 and score individually Step 3: Discuss individual scoring and come to consensus at your table Step 4: Post group’s scores on large rubric Step 5: Discuss results as a whole group

11 9-12 Participants Task 1: Identify specific investigations where you can more effectively articulate/ teach claims, evidence, reasoning, and/or rebuttal. Task 2: Draft preliminary CWAs using the template provided
