Cube Designer by Databeacon Third party OLAP tool to analyze data in Campus using pivot tables.  OLAP- online analytic processing of data in a database.  Pivot Table- the ability to quickly drag and drop data into different row or column positions.

Categories and Measures Categories are descriptive attributes of students, e.g., gender, race, economic indicator, etc. Measures are counts where categories intersect. In this cube, the counts are students and attendance rate for the categories of race/ethnicity.

Filtering: Filter by pattern Right click on the category and you get the filter by pattern option which allows you to search for specific text for including (check show matching) or exclusion. Now only the measures for non-white students are returned.

6 Copyright © 2006, Infinite Campus, Inc. All rights reserved. Filtering: Select Right click on the category Race when it’s listed at the top. You then can filter the data to show only the races you select. Now the measure shows only results for American Indians.
