3. What are organisms? An organism is a form of life that is capable of growing, metabolizing nutrients, and reproducing.

4. What does endangered mean? Endangered means that it is a wild animal or plant that is in danger.

5. This is an owl that is endangered. They are found in open countries, grasslands, tundra, and wetlands. They need tall vegetation's to nest in. They eat mammals, and grassland species. They are also prey to other animals. Short-Eared Owl

6. Humpback Whales are an endangered specie as well. They live in the surface of the ocean and breed in warm tropical waters. They eat the fish in the water. They are endangered because people are hunting them and also when they migrate they get caught in ruff waters! Humpback Whale

7. What does threatened mean? Threatened is where the organism becomes endangered within the foreseeable future.

8. Green Sea Turtles have become threatened animals. Green Sea Turtles are reptiles that eat sea grasses and algae. They are killed for their meat and eggs. Green Sea Turtle

9. Bald Eagles are also threatened animals. They are forested habitats near bodies of water. They eat fish. They are dying because of loss of habitat, shooting, and trapping. Bald Eagles

10. What does extinct mean? Extinct means that the animal no longer is in existence.
