5 C fibre fame, taped to Al plate; small strips of kapton tape overlaid over frame and plate to avoid sensors slipping between the plate and frame. 5

7 Fresh sensor from Hamamatsu envelope 7

9 Sensor lying in cutout of frame (cutout =11mm sq while sensor is 10mm sq). 9

10 Sensors, placed in cutouts of 3x3 frame; held in place by double sided kapton tape, with sticky edge on C fibre frame. One side sticky (on frame) Both sides non- sticky, overlapping edge of sensor 10

11 Threads prevent sensors falling out of cutouts. 11

12 Ensemble placed in plastic bag for safe-keeping. 12

13 Nickel foils place in another 3x3 C fibre frame, in locations corresponding to those of the sensors. (for fluence determination). 13

14 Frame + sensors fixed to top lid of cold box. Nitrogen gas pipe L shaped perspex fixing pieces, screwed into box lid. Frames clip into these pieces. Spring clips 14
