2. Invention: PEZ PEZ was invented in 1920 PEZ stands for “Pfefferminze” the German word for peppermint. Haas had the idea of putting an ad out saying “For smokers that might of want to stop smoking put a PEZ in your mouth in stead of a cigarette!” Haas also made a plastic lighter that dispensed one PEZ at a time. In 1955 Haas started to make cartoon head dispensers for kids. There were lemon, grape, orange, & strawberry at the time The first known cartoon dispensers were Santa Claus, Popeye, and a space trooper

3. Inventor: Eduard Haas III Eduard was born near Vienna, Australia in 1897. His grandpa invented a baking powder to make cakes a lighter color. His dad studied medicine and opened a wholesale grocery store.
