5. Sikorski came from a poor family. His father was a teacher and his mother was a dressmaker and a postwoman. Since 1898 he attended to a teacher’s seminar in Rzeszów, later he studied at Lviv Polytechnic National University In1906 he joined the army. He was quickly promoted and gained a diploma of an officer of the Polish Army

7. When World War I broke out Sikorski got to Austro- Hungarian army. He became a lieutenant colonel. He established and participated in several underground organizations that promoted the cause of Polish independence World War I
