3 Before we read…  Think of examples of “revenge”  Movies (hint: we watched a film clip)  Books (hint: boy wizard)  Plays (hint: freshman year)  TV (hint: Revenge)  Current events (hint: a month ago in MO)  History (Biblical/war/politics)  Other???  Write down 2-3 examples

6 Let’s Annotate Write the prompt at top of paper  Is it appropriate for individuals, such as those found in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, to seek revenge when one is wronged? Write an argument to support your claim; use valid reasoning and relevant, sufficient evidence from the sources listed below to support your claim.

10 LOOK IT UP!! Step 2:  Define vocab (Tier 3 Words)  Write the definition in the margins  Does the definition you selected fit the context? For example, ‘base’ has many meanings; however, in paragraph 5 ‘base’ means: “selfish lack of human decency”
