5 Types of Bacteria Lactic Acid Bacteria –Use in making pickles & sauerkraut Carbon Dioxide Bacteria –Used in making some cheeses Proteolytic Bacteria –Used in making cocoa and chocolate Acetic Acid Bacteria –Used in making vinegar
