7.  Students should know that they should never give bad news in a text message. ("I heard our soccer coach quit!")  Students should understand that they are responsible for what they text to other people. Teach your child to refrain from gossiping about others, trashing others, and being unkind in general.  This information will be shared through parent and community meetings and the school website.

8.  If found with a cell phone turned on during a test, students receive an automatic two grade deduction from the test scores. Remind everyone to turn their phones off prior to the test.  If found using cell phone during class, automatic deduction from their participation score.
