2 The Scottish Recovery Indicator is a service development tool developed by the Scottish Recovery Network to help services review and improve how they support recovery.

3 SRI 2 is centred around ten indicators based on evidence about what works in supporting recovery. Basic needs are identified and addressed Goals are identified and addressed Personalised services are provided Service is strength based Service promotes social inclusion Service promotes and acts on service user involvement Informal carers are involved Service encourages advance planning and self-management Staff are supported and valued Practice is recovery focused Basic needs are identified and addressed Goals are identified and addressed Personalised services are provided Service is strength based Service promotes social inclusion Service promotes and acts on service user involvement Informal carers are involved Service encourages advance planning and self-management Staff are supported and valued Practice is recovery focused

4 Services are asked to review and reflect on their practice against the 10 recovery indicators using six sources of evidence Assessments Care plans Service information Staff Service users Informal carers

5 The SRI 2 framework includes a series of reflective statements that allow services to rate current practice against the ten recovery indicators. The main outcome from the SRI 2 process is an action plan recording existing strengths that can be built upon and improvements that can be made to make the service more recovery focused.
