9 Course Objectives: The student will be able to describe and recognize the factors pertaining to positive school relationships including: Identification of all stakeholder groups Knowledge of ‘best practices’ as practiced by school administrators Skills required to maintain excellent relationships

10 Course Objectives: Barriers to establishing relationships Recognize the influence that past experience brings to the task

11 Course Assignments: Course Resource Kit – Collection of examples of ‘best practice’ demonstrating connections to research and insightful understanding of school relationships. Wikispaces Class participation: attendance, insightful participation in discussions on ideas gleaned from readings, questions, reflections on own practice, peer and others Completion of readings as posted on Wikispaces

12 Course resource Kit Students will be introduced to Wikispaces to which they will contribute. At the end of the course all the contributions will constitute the resource kit

13 Specifically Students will: comment on two of the posted readings in the discussion sections. Add an example of best practice along the lines of the samples.

14 Evaluation and Grading: This is a pass/fail course based upon: 40% Participation (see also special assignment) 60% Course Reading - Resource Kit Students are expected to participate fully in all aspects of the course. Pass is equivalent of 76%

15 Special Assignment Students may wish to declare a special assignment that either specifically meets their needs or adds meaningful content to the course
