7 Choosing the correct type of course: The Journey Continues: Planning for a Successful Grade 10 In order to be adequately prepared for the same type of course (Academic, Applied, Locally Developed) at the next grade level, it is strongly recommended that students be achieving at the provincial standard – Level 3 (minimum 70%)

17 COMPULSORY FRENCH IMMERSION COURSES Gr. 10 Religion - HRE2OZ Gr. 10 French - FIF2DZ New for 2016 – 2017 2 of Grade 10 History - CHC2DZ, Grade 10 Civics/Careers - CHV2OZ/GLC2OZ and Grade 9 Geography CGC1DZ must be completed in French.

18 Pre-AP New for 2016 – 2017 Grade 10 Pre-AP English Grade 10 Pre-AP Math Grade 10 Pre-AP Science A separate application must be completed. These are located in the guidance office. Student’s who did not complete Grade 9 Pre- AP courses may still apply. Talk to your guidance counsellor.
