More common ground between audience and speaker equals a story that will hold substance to the audience

10 Pentad Elements Act  To show how a love can be lost, but will never be forgotten. Scene  Germany, Bosnia and Bosnian & Serbian War. Agent  Sadzid Grahic a.k.a “Z”, my mothers son, Mama’s Boy. Agency  Music, pictures of father, mother and I and my narration. Purpose  To show appreciation for my mom and everything that she has done and to show that I understand that she has lost way more than I have.

Directions You will be analyzing two different narratives. Once you have read and listened to each narrative, you should identify the parts of the pentad that are present in each narrative. Act Who Scene Where and When? Agent What Agency What did they use and how? Purpose Why

15 Small Group Discussion
Share the 5 elements you found within the narrative? Share what you thought about the coherence of the story? Did it “hang together”? Share what resonated with you and why?
