U1. Daily Operations of Computer Network Presented by: Law Hing Man

1.Log in and Log out  Local login May or may not connect to the network. Install or uninstall software. Set up folders or printers for sharing.

 Domain login Must connect to the network. Use your network account (e.g. Z drive, desktop)

 Logout  Shutdown

2. Setting workgroup and domain Click Start -> Settings -> Printer Local Printer Shared Local Printer Network Printer

3. Saving working files in networked drives for possible sharing purposes Z drive (Private) Public folder (Public for teachers) Redhat (Public for all users in school) Visitor Cabinet of HKedCity (Public for all users in the Internet)
