 Edward Weston was born in March of 1886, in Highland Park, Illinois.  Edward Weston spent most of his childhood in Chicago where he went to school at Oakland Grammar School.  Edward Weston began photographing at the age of 16 after getting a Bull’s Eye #2 camera from his dad.  Edward Weston first photos were of the parks of Chicago.

 Edward Weston was known as one of the photography masters of the 20 th century.  Edward Weston legacy includes several thousand carefully composed,and printed photography using natural landscapes. Such forms as artichoke, shells, and rocks.

 Edward Weston opened a portrait studio between in Tropic, California.  Edward Weston became successful working in a soft- focus, his style won many salon and professional awards.

 Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
