2 August 2005draft-ietf-lemonade-profile-031 lemonade Profile Alexey Melnikov Stéphane Maes

2 August 2005draft-ietf-lemonade-profile-032 Changes Since -02 Editorial –Updated boilerplate. –Purged and updated references. –Replaced "Lemonade Pull model" by Lemonade "forward without download". –Addressed most of the editorial comments raised by Randy Gellens/Pete Resnick. Substantial changes: –Updated examples as per recent changes in CATENATE and other documents. Fixed several bugs. –Some clarifications on using TLS, but see the list of open issues –Qualified normative statement on future delivery ("MAY implement")

2 August 2005draft-ietf-lemonade-profile-033 Open Issues 1)Randy: is quick-reconnect part of the version 1 of the profile? 2)Randy: is future delivery part of the version 1 of the profile? 3)Randy: TLS section needs more work (misleading). Need to also clarify relationship between TLS and authentication (SASL). 4)Draft editing/catenation examples are omitted for now already done in CATENATE draft, should they be repeated here? 5)Need to select which IMAP/SMTP extensions are mandatory and which are optional (see next slide)

2 August 2005draft-ietf-lemonade-profile-034 Mandatory/Optional IMAP Extensions STARTTLS - required by RFC 3501 CATENATE - MUST implement (forward without download) URLAUTH - MUST implement (f.w.d.) UIDPLUS - suggestion: MUST implement POSTADDRESS - ? (alternative way to do fcc) RECONNECT - pending decision whether this is in version 1

2 August 2005draft-ietf-lemonade-profile-035 Mandatory/Optional SMTP Extensions AUTH - required by Submit. BURL - MUST (f.w.d.) FUTUREDELIVERY - ? PIPELINING - suggestion: MUST (SHOULD) STARTTLS - ? (MAY) 8BITMIME - MUST (required by BURL) CHUNKING - suggestion: SHOULD (MAY) BINARYMIME - suggestion: MAY (MAY) DSN - suggestion: SHOULD (SHOULD) SIZE - suggestion: SHOULD (MAY) ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES - suggestion: SHOULD (SHOULD)

2 August 2005draft-ietf-lemonade-profile-036 Thank You Alexey Melnikov
