Carousel Brainstorming In this activity, you will be travelling around the room. But first, let’s remind you how it works!

Carousel Brainstorming There are four pieces of paper posted around the room. There are also needs to be groups of four people. When you have your group members, each member needs to stand in a line (in different rows).

Carousel Brainstorming Now that I’ve tricked you, get ready to move to a corner. When I say rotate, you will move with your group clockwise with the marker.

Carousel Brainstorming Stop! This method of brainstorming is excellent for bringing out observations on a topic. The time pressure helps students say their thoughts.

As we watch this video, try to identify the main figures of the Russian Revolution. You may take notes on your Section 2 Summary page if you like. You do not have to take notes, but it could help you in case you have a pop quiz tomorrow.

As we watch this video, try to identify the main figures of the Russian Revolution. You may take notes on your Section 2 Summary page if you like. You do not have to take notes, but it could help you in case you have a pop quiz tomorrow.

Group or Solo Time Put your workbook on the cart in the back of the room. Your homework is to write quickthinks for the 14 paragraphs on these pages and to answer the vocabulary strategy, target reading skill, reading checks, and review questions. You may work together on this, but no one can be dismissed unless the desks are back in place.
