Problem with Exclusivity How can you possibly say Jesus is the only way to be accepted by God. That is arrogant, narrow minded, and ignores the fact that you don’t have to be a Christian to be a good person.

John 3:18 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

John 14:5-6 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Objections to Exclusivity 1.All religions teach the same thing. 2.All religions see only part of the truth. 3.It is narrow minded to insist your religion is right. 4.Should focus on love and not doctrine.

Heart Level Objections 1.God should allow multiple ways. 1.How can there be only one way when there are so many good people who are not Christian?

Inclusiveness of Exclusivity Summary of Jesus’ Teaching 1.You are all excluded because of sin. 2.You are all invited to be included because of my obedience. Who is offended by these proclamations?
