COURSE OUTLINE AZHAR HAMID IAS2143 DATABASE SYSTEM UniselFaculty of Computer Science and Information Technology

SYNOPSIS This course is to discuss the principle of database design and how to use database technology effectively to manage a big source of information. Students are also to develop a database project where they will have to apply the knowledge of the database design and use the appropriate database modelling techniques. UniselFaculty of Computer Science and Information Technology

LEARNING OUTCOME At the end of this course, student should be able to: 1. explain the database component and its approaches. 2. apply the Entity–Relationship (ER) model and normalization technique in database design. 3. utilize database design methodology for database system development lifecycle. 4. describe various types of advances database approaches.
