Presentation transcript:

Sexting:  the act of sending sexually explicit messages or photographs, primarily between mobile phones.

 Child Pornography: Creating, transmitting, and even possessing a nude, seminude, or sexually explicit image of a minor (under 18) can be considered child pornography.

 Possessing nude images of minors can be prosecuted as a state or federal felony and can even lead to having to register as a sex offender.  Bullying has short term effects that include anxiety, loneliness and depression  Bullying has similar long term effects that can impact adulthood.  Cyberbullying can be more cruel than face-to- face bullying because the bully doesn’t see the response of the victim.

 A cyberstalker can face 5-26 months in jail  Victims should save copies of evidence.  Constantly texting and demanding to know a boyfriend/girlfriend’s whereabouts is considered a form of digital abuse.  Passwords should be private. Do not share with anyone except your parents.
