SWEDAC National Accreditation Body Central governmental authority for –Technical conformity assessment –Assessment, designation and surveillance of notified bodies –Coordination of market surveillance –Legal metrology –Precious metals

National coordination of market surveillance Includes the following tasks: To hold the secretariat and chairmanship of the National Market Surveillance Council (meetings, action plan, working groups, report to the government, administration of internal and external national website) To support the market surveillance authorities in their implementation and adoption of Regulation 765/2008 To represent Sweden in working groups regarding market surveillance on a European and an International level (SOGS- MSG, PROSAFE, UNECE/UNECE MARS) To administrate ICSMS 4

The use and administration of ICSMS in Sweden

ICSMS as a system under Art. 23 of (EC) Regulation 765/2008 Article 23 The Commission shall develop and maintain a general archiving and exchange of information system MS shall provide with information at their disposal on: Type of risk Results of testing Restrictive measures taken Contact with economic operators Justification for action or inaction

Our role as a national administrator of ICSMS Inform the MSAs to use the system and do it correctly Collect feedback from users on improvements Register new members Translation Guidance and consultation (user name) Regular contact with the operator of the system Overview of the most important activities in the system (updates with new entries, changes to PI, products involving SE MSAs) Attend the ICSMS board meetings twice a year Attend the coming meetings between EU COM and MS contact points of ICSMS (17 October)
