Supplier Up to Schedule Plan  Supplier receives releases from Lear on a weekly basis via EDI or Fax.  If the supplier does not receive a release on a given week, the Customer Service Representative must contact the Lear receiving facility Releasing Department immediately.  Supplier Customer service personnel or designate will analyze releases to ensure all shipments can be manufactured and shipped according to the Lear current week and future weeks requirements.  If a supplier cannot meet requirements, an up to schedule plan must be prepared utilizing the standard form provided.  A written plan as to how you will get up to schedule must be submitted i.e. add capacity, overtime etc. This plans should also include what your constraints are i.e. raw material or labor issues etc.  This plan must be submitted to the Lear receiving facility within 48 hours of receipt of the schedule release.  A supplier is expected to ship in accordance with the Up To Schedule Plan submitted to the Lear receiving facility, if the Up To Schedule Plan cannot be met the Supplier must contact the Lear receiving facility immediately to discuss the issue. Process

Supplier Up to Schedule  Enter part number, description and plant ship to.  Enter the current cum shipped amount into the designated cell.  Enter the net requirements for the current week. Enter the weekly net requirements as well.  Enter the net promise as to what is forecasted to ship each day. Enter the weekly ship forecast as well.  Excel spreadsheet contains formulas and will calculate the up to schedule date automatically.  If necessary, extend the spreadsheet out until an up to schedule date is realized. Supplier Up to Schedule Conclusion  It the responsibility of Lear and the supply base to communicate any potential issues that will impact the end customer. By providing the information before a supply disruption occurs, we can reduce potential cost.
