Welding Introduction

Training for welders, Training ranges from a few weeks of school or on-the- job training for low-skilled positions to several years of combined school and on-the-job training for highly skilled jobs. Welding education requirements vary by employer. Some employers require welders to have a high school diploma and require completion of employer-based welding tests. Other employers look for a certificate or undergraduate degree from a technical school, vocational school or community college. Welders may also learn techniques through welding apprenticeships. Required Education and Training

Four Skills You need to become a welder, Problem-solving, Math and science, Endurance, Interpersonal. The aptitudes welding test is called MIG Welding test Skills and Aptitudes Required

Welder future earning like every year be like $ a year or even more. Welders stating salary will be nice especially when they fresh out of high school they start them off with $10, $12 or $14 and hour. But in the military you might make even more like up to $ Starting Salary and Future Earnings

Often in inclement weather, or indoors, sometimes in a confined area. They may work on a scaffold high off the ground, and they occasionally must lift heavy objects and work in awkward positions. Most work full time and overtime is common in this occupation. Work Environment

Manage welding work and ensure compliance to all specifications to perform defect work. Replace new and fabricate parts fir dump trucks and trailers. Ensure clean weld joint to obtain smooth look. Maintain disc grinder and perform all cleaning and grinding of metals. Operate various manual and automated welding equipments for welding work Analyze speed and length of welding arc for all welding process. Assemble all components with help of power and hand tools. Duties/Responsibilities

Personality traits best suited to a welder are, patience, calmness, observance of detail, ability to stay in one / or many positions for some time. While these are some of the qualities most helpful to be a welder, this is only an over view. There are other things to consider, if caffeine makes you even the slightest bit "jittery" IE a bit shaky or if your hands aren't so steady, this could affect your welding ability, and the outcome of your weld.
