Alaska Presentation By:Mariana, Kima, Josue, Immer

Earthquake !! Alaska has a very active tectonic plate that means that there are a lot of earthquakes. Alaska has many after shocks as well they also can be very deadly. Alaska or the “Cold Desert” can be freezing cold and the shocks can affect the food chain as well it can scare away food that might sound absurd but its true !

The 1964 Alaskan tsunami is the largest and most destructive recorded tsunami to ever hit the United States Pacific coast along the Washington Coast, tsunami waves destroyed houses cars, boats, and fishing gear causing an estimated 80,000 dollars in damage to roads and bridges alone. Tsunami

Power Plant Alaska has a few power plants the the power plants were made in 2009, 2010, 2012,and The power plants are pretty big. In 2014 they are trying to make a 10 mega watt rector which means its bigger and more powerful. The power plant is to last 30 year which is a lot!

Necular Power Plant Alaska has not that many necular power plant it only has a a lot because Alaska does uses much power. As of 16 January 2013, the IAEA report there are 439 nuclear power reactors in operation operating in 31 countries. Nuclear power plants are usually considered to be base load stations, since fuel is a small part of the cost of production.
