Dear Diary…. I am still wondering….. When we first arrived… You will never believe what happened today.. When I woke up this morning… Last night the most unusual thing happened… I’m beginning to get worried…

“The Invitation” Why were you invited? What made the invitation intriguing? What do you hope to find on Soldier Island? #1

Dear Diary,January 11, 1939 indent When I awoke this morning, I found the most unusual thing in the post. It was an invitation from an acquaintance of mine, Ms. Bateman, whom I have not seen in years. She has invited me to holiday on Solider Island, which, if I recall, is off of the coast of England. I had heard from others that she had moved out of the country, so imagine my surprise when I received the invitation. I find it to be a little intriguing though, as we were not that good of friends. We used to attend the same church. Although we saw each other every Sunday, we never socialized outside of church. Odd to say the least! Regardless, I have decided to take advantage of the holiday using the money she sent me. I really need a break from my kids and basking in the sunshine is exactly the ticket. I hope to catch up on days gone by, make new friends, and explore all the island has to offer. Until tomorrow, Name #1
