Vertical angles Opposite angles form intersecting lines. Vertical angles are congruent. Each angle equals 40 degrees.

Adjacent Angles Same vertex Share a common side Don’t overlap!

Complementary Angles Two acute angles that add up to 90 degrees. One angle is 40 degrees. The second angle is 50 degrees.

Supplementary Angles The two obtuse angles line up to 180 degrees. The angles don’t have to be together.
