C Using Google Tools to Enhance Communication & Organization

Communication With Colleagues is a great way to communicate. It is convenient, quick, easy to follow, and can be accessed from anywhere. Create groups in your contacts for a group or groups of people that you frequently . Calendar Create events on a calendar and send invites as reminders for colleagues to attend. Drive Share a department folder of resources, documents, etc. that others may find helpful. Create a Google Doc of helpful websites/resources and share it with your colleagues

Communication with Students Calendar Create a classroom calendar with assignments and/or major project and test dates. Share this with the students and parents. Drive If students share documents with you in their Google Drive, you can provide feedback on the documents. Create a Google Doc with assignment descriptions/links. If this is linked to your webpage, it will update automatically on your webpage when you edit it in google docs.

Organization In Gmail, you can create labels that will help you organize and sort your . Calendar Put things you need to remember (meeting dates, important classroom dates, etc.) on your Google calendar. You can have Google send you reminders of these events and even sync the calendar with your smart phone or tablet so you have access to it on the go. Drive Create folders in your drive to help organize your files. You can even change the colors of the folders if you would like. Have students submit Google Drive files to you through a Google Form instead of just sharing them. This way all the files that students submit will appear on one spreadsheet instead of separate files in your Drive.
