Procurement of real-time travel times in Finnra / Reijo Prokkola Travel time system in 2008 Total length of the road network is 3200 km length of the links 3-5 and km median of single travel time observations for five minutes period updated once a minute travel time, speed, class of the traffic flow About the accuracy of the data accuracy of ± 5% is achieved by 11 observation per 5 minutes period (FCD-method) latency criteria of the data from measure to the data service is 45 seconds

Procurement of real-time travel times in Finnra / Reijo Prokkola Information services The data is stored into the database provided by traffic flow information service provider Web-based reporting software for end users open XML-surface for systems in Finnra and elsewhere adhoc information services Period of contract is five years Production is ongoing 24 hours every day in the year Finnra has rights to use the data and deliver it to the third parties Travel times End users Traffic flow information service Other raw data sources Processing of the data Distribution of the data
