Student Responsibility  The account is for educational, school purposes only  Maintain positive communication between yourself, classmates and teacher  Utilize the for what your teachers ask for  Uphold all behavioral expectations

Regulation 2361: Acceptable Use of Computer Network/Computer and Resources – Electronic Mail  All messages sent and received on the school’s computer network/computers must have educational purposes and are subject to review.  School district personnel may inspect the contents of s sent by a pupil to an addressee  School district personnel may disclose the contents to other than the sender when required to do so by policy, regulation or laws and regulations of State and Federal Government.  The school will cooperate fully with local, State and Federal officials as necessary.

Regulation 2361: Acceptable Use of Computer Network/Computer and Resources – Online Conduct  Any action by a pupil or user that constitutes inappropriate use of the computer network/computers or improperly restricts or inhibits other persons from using the resources is strictly prohibited and may result in limitation or termination of the offending persons access and other consequences in compliance with Board policy and regulation.  May not submit, publish or display defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, racially offensive or otherwise illegal material.  May not encourage the use, sale or distribution of controlled substances.  Transmission of material, information, or software in violation of local, State or Federal law is prohibited.

The following prohibited behavior and/or conduct includes, but is not limited to:  Sending or displaying offensive messages or pictures  Using obscene language and/or accessing material or visual depictions that are obscene  Using or accessing material or visual depictions that are child pornography  Using or accessing material or visual depictions that are harmful to minors including pictures, images, graphic image files or materials that appeals to interest in nudity, sex, or excretion  Depicting, describing, or representing in an offensive way, with respect to what is suitable for minors, sexual acts or conduct, and lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value to minors

The following prohibited behavior and/or conduct includes, but is not limited to:  Cyberbullying  Inappropriate interaction with others on social networking sites or chat rooms  Harassing, insulting or attacking others  Damaging computers, computer systems, or computer network/computers  Violating copyright laws  Using another’s password  Trespassing in another’s folders, work or files  Intentionally wasting limited resources  Employing the computer network for commercial purposes  Engaging in other activities that do not advance educational purposes for which computer networks/computers are provided

Policy 2361: Acceptable Use of Computer Network/Computer and Resources  Violations will be subject to consequences and discipline including, but not limited to:  Use of network only under direct supervision  Suspension of network privileges  Revocation of network privileges  Suspension of computer privileges  Revocation of network privileges  Suspension from school  Expulsion from school  Legal action and prosecution by authorities
