Presentation transcript:

The Big Boy Party Maxwell C. Holcombe For President

Taxes In support of flat tax rates. Set everyone’s taxes to 22% of everyone’s annual income. This would solve the problem of “unfairness” in our progressive tax system. Our flat tax would promote greater economic prosperity and more economic investments.

Economy Put more federal funds into the economy Government programs to provide jobs would successfully create jobs for many American People. Our flat tax will lower taxes for many Americans which will allow for them to spend more money to boost the economy.

Education School Choice by parents. Allow parents to choose the correct school for their child based on his or her specific needs and personality traits. Parents with lesser means would be able to send their children to school with higher expectations. Parents with special needs children to select the appropriate school for their child. Discontinue the No Child Left Behind Act. This will allow teachers to focus on the students that want to learn and better their educations.

Environment We support slowing global warming and the overall climate change of the world. We will research new, effective methods to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide being released into the environment by allotting certain emission and pollution allowances to companies and we would effectively enforce the proper allowances to all business.

Foreign Affairs Support an isolationist view. We believe that while our economy is struggling that we should pull back many of our forces that are spread worldwide and focus on improving rather than setting up other nations governments. While we have already gotten into setting up the Iraqi’s government we should allow them up to two more years of protection to help stabilize their nation their and we should efficiently remove troops for their nation.

Gun Control We support the ownership of firearms. We believe that all semi-automatic and automatic weapons be registered with the National Government. We are in favor of having firearm suppliers to provide training to all people that purchase guns.

Immigration Support restricting immigration from all countries worldwide. This for one would reduce the outside sources of terrorists, which would allow us to focus on stopping terrorism by our own citizens. Favor offering citizenship to the illegal immigrants that have already made it into our country.

Abortion Strongly pro-life. Do not support abortion during any trimester of pregnancy. Support the views for moral, religious, and health reasons. Abortion is not healthy in most instances. Only support abortion if the girl can prove she was raped or if the pregnancy is going to be risky for the mother.

Social Security Want to put more federal funds into Social Security so that future generations will still have the benefits. Social Security can be strengthened and will be a high priority for our party.

Medicare Eliminate the waiting period of two years that is required for citizens that have become disabled. This law has caused many disabled citizen severe financial hardship. Want to make prescription drugs more affordable for senior citizens.
